As a title, I have chosen the well-known one created by Giovanni Battista Casti. Those who are acquainted with me may regard this as a contradiction, and those who read some more pages of this book – especially the ones about my Così fan tutte in Salzburg – will have the chance to see that I always like starting from the “words” (in a theatre, I want them to be perfectly perceived, beyond the music itself).
Here, however, I just wanted to explain the need to stop and reflect upon life and myself, conveying, just to be exact, my very message to you.
